Jeremy has worked in health care since 1991 where he was appointed to develop medical, and later, clinical audit in secondary care NHS mental health and learning disabilities services. He transferred to a local mental health NHS Trust in 1994 to project manage the introduction of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for people with a mental illness and has extensive experience in assessment and care management processes across health, social care and the criminal justice agencies.  In 1997 he established the Trust’s Clinical Information Service and was responsible for systems and policy development for mental health law, health records management and care management processes.  Jeremy was responsible for regulatory inspections by the Mental Health Act Commission and later directed the Trust’s clinical governance review of mental health services by the Commission for Health Improvement (CHI) in 2003.  In 2000 he became the General Manager for Specialist Mental Health Services, and in 2002 was appointed Deputy Director of Clinical Governance; developing quality and service improvement technologies across the full spectrum of clinical services.   Jeremy established and led a clinical risk management training programme across local health and social care services, and convened and chaired a Risk Collaborative that oversaw the development of policy and practice relating to clinical risk management.

In 2005 Jeremy was seconded to lead and direct the NHS Trust’s foundation trust application, and immediately prior to him joining Positive Options as General Manager, in June 2007, he held the role of Associate Director of Medicine and Clinical Effectiveness. Jeremy has extensive experience of strategy and policy development; business planning; organisational development and team coaching; performance management, and project management.  He is currently the Vice Chair of the Council of Management at North Staffordshire MIND, a division of the national mental health charity in the UK, and has a seat on the Executive Committee of ASIST, an independent advocacy organisation based in and serving the Staffordshire area.

At Positive Options, Jeremy is responsible for the general management of the Company and the development and implementation of its long-term growth strategy.
